Our history
Trek Group’s roots go back to 1999. Since then it has grown from a single product and a single site into a group of seventeen companies, multiple factories and a string of acquisitions — including SVP, in 2023.
Equi-Trek formed and first patent on side loading ramp secured.
First trailer manufactured under licence and sold to a customer.
First factory opened at Meltham — 5,000 sq. ft.
Factory opened at Holmfirth, Yorkshire — 20,000 sq. ft.
Launch of first motorised horsebox — The Equi-Trek Sonic.
Launch of first 7.5T horsebox — The Equi-Trek Endeavour — and first international sale.
12T and 26T horseboxes launched to complete the range. Distribution began in Australia, with seven factories now operating.
Gained ISO quality accreditation and European Type Approval.
Moto-Trek launched.
Equi-Trek starts title sponsorship at Bramham International Horse Trials; export begins to North America.
Added to the factory at Meltham — 20,000 sq. ft.
Added factory at Slaithwaite — 40,000 sq. ft.
First wood-free product manufactured.
