Our story
Founded in 1996, SVP has grown from a specialist converter into a trusted partner for emergency services and public sector fleets across the UK. Over three decades, we have built our reputation through a commitment to quality, engineering expertise, and an understanding of the demands placed on operational vehicles.
Our continued growth has seen us expand our manufacturing capability across two facilities: our head office and main production site at Earls Colne Business Park in Essex, and our second facility in Stocksbridge, near Sheffield. Together, these sites provide the capacity and flexibility to support a wide range of projects, from individual bespoke builds through to larger fleet programmes.
In 2023, SVP became part of The Trek Group, marking the next stage in our development and providing further opportunities to invest in our people, facilities, and future growth while maintaining the specialist knowledge and values that have defined SVP since 1996.

“I’ve always been hands-on with this job — I started out as a vehicle technician, building these conversions myself before working my way up through operations manager to Managing Director. That journey gave me a real love for what we do here, and it’s a passion I see every day in the team around me.
None of what SVP delivers is down to me alone — it’s a genuinely great group of people, from production and purchasing through to the workshop floor and sales team, who care about getting every vehicle right for the people who’ll rely on it. That’s been true for three decades, and it’s still what drives us.
